FAQ
Questions, answered
Everything businesses ask before they verify. Still unsure? Ask us directly.
- How is this different from a normal business directory?
- A directory lists whoever signs up. We only publish a business after credentials have been reviewed and checks have passed, and we keep re-checking every day. The listing is a by-product; the verification is the product.
- How long does verification take?
- Most businesses get a decision within minutes of entering their details. AI validates the credentials and runs the cross-checks immediately; only exceptions go to manual review, which is usually resolved the same business day.
- What details do I need?
- Your business registration details, any industry license number that applies to you, and current insurance policy details (general liability, and errors & omissions where relevant) — all entered through structured forms, no document uploads. A working website and business email are checked automatically.
- What happens if I fail a check?
- You get an itemised list of exactly what failed and why, plus the fix. Nothing is published until you pass, and you can re-run verification as soon as you have the missing evidence.
- Can I just pay for the badge?
- No. Payment covers the review and the ongoing monitoring, not the outcome. A badge that could be bought would be worthless to the buyers it is meant to reassure.
- What makes a badge go gray?
- A lapsed license or insurance policy, a website that stops responding, or contact details that no longer resolve. The badge grays out automatically wherever it is embedded, and you are told which check failed.
- Why does AI visibility matter?
- Buyers increasingly ask an assistant to shortlist vendors instead of scrolling a results page. We publish structured, machine-readable trust data for every verified business, which is what those systems can actually cite.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes, from your billing portal at any time. Your badge and monitoring stay live through the end of the paid period, then the listing is retired.
