Standing on the Corner have released a Carlos de Jesus–directed visual for “G-E-T-O-U-T!! The Ghetto.” The visual features a performance by the ensemble with 7-year-old Annalise Chanel Renee Williams. Watch below and find an interactive version at the ensemble’s website.
Along with the video, Standing on the Corner have announced a new 12″ vinyl edition of “G-E-T-O-U-T!! The Ghetto.” Proceeds from the 12″ will benefit Therapy for Black Girls and Ancient Song Doula Services. Standing on the Corner are making their donations from record sales “in the name of Little Anna in hopes to leave behind a better world for Her and all Black women than the burning one we’ve inherited,” they wrote in a press release.
Standing on the Corner shared “G-E-T-O-U-T!! The Ghetto” as a multi-track digital single earlier this month. Prior to that, they shared the single “Angel.” The ensemble released the RED BURNS mixtape in September 2017.
